This is the name for an irregular, English spoken, podcast about money, payments and regulation. It’s aim is to provide an international audience insights on payments, regulation, currency, coins, stablecoins and all that, using a historical perspective.
In essence, it is a blend of the two blogs of Simon Lelieveldt, the one on the financial history of Amsterdam and the other on money and payments. And the unifying motto for the money-cast is also visible in the Iepencent, the unique wooden coin that Simon struck from the Elm which stood for more than 100 years before the exchange at the Exchange square 5.
To give you an idea, do have a look at the TEDx-talk that I did in 2015 for the International School of the Hague students, inviting them to dream up their version of a new currency, to change the world for the better.
Setting up the podcast will take some time: first I will start out with a Dutch spoken version, but do expect something to happen here in due time.
